About Mount Eniwa

Mount Eniwa is a 1,320 m mountain in Chitose City, Hokkaido. It lies within Shikotsu-Toya National Park. A volcano rising from the northwest shore of Lake Shikotsu. An eruption in the early 17th century collapsed the east side of the summit, leaving a crater and sending debris into the lake. The crater still steams. At its northwest foot lies Lake Okotanpe, dammed by an eruption.
