About Chisenupuri

Chisenupuri is a 1,134.2 m mountain near the boundary of Kyowa Town and Rankoshi Town, Hokkaido. It lies within Niseko-Shakotan-Otaru Kaigan Quasi-National Park. It was chosen in the 1993 first edition of Hokkaido Hyakumeizan (100 Famous Mountains of Hokkaido) and is one of eight replaced in the 2003 revised edition. One of the Niseko volcanoes. Because its volcanic landforms look fresh, it may have been active within the last 10,000 years.
