About Pontonuma Pond
A small lagoon-origin pond in Abashiri City. In the 1991 survey it was eutrophic, with reeds on the shore, and mallards, teal and taiga bean geese in winter. Both the 1977 aerial photo and recent photos show it surrounded by fields.
