About Lake Harutori

A lagoon-origin lake within the city of Kushiro. The 1991 survey recorded water chestnut, crucian carp including the red-colored hibuna, sticklebacks and Japanese dace, and teal, wigeon and tufted ducks in winter. Both the 1977 aerial photo and recent photos show it surrounded by houses.
