About Lake Rausu

The largest lake on the Shiretoko Peninsula. The Lake Rausu trail passes four smaller ponds on the way to the lake, and the Ministry of the Environment advises mountain-hiking gear. In the 1991 survey it was an unmodified lake, with marsh cinquefoil, bogbean and bur-reed recorded.
