About Nakanonuma Pond
A former pond in the rice-growing area of Iwamizawa City. The 1991 survey form notes that land consolidation around the pond had progressed, the water dried up about two years earlier, and the site had become reeds with no open water. Open water is visible in the 1976 aerial photo, but recent photos show grassland surrounded by paddies. The survey's data appendix records 0.11 km² as reclaimed.
