Shigurebashi Bridge 時雨橋

A bridge spanning the Shirai River along the route from the Jozankei hot spring village toward Hoheikyo Gorge, and a key stop on the Jozankei "Bridge Walk" — a scenic course connecting several bridges across the Toyohira River and its tributaries. The bridges of Jozankei, including Futami Suspension Bridge, Tsukimi Bridge, Nishiki Bridge, and Koyo Bridge, each create their own distinctive interplay with the gorge landscape. Shigurebashi's name is believed to derive from "shigure," the Japanese word for the gentle lingering rains of autumn.
