A vermilion suspension bridge approximately 23 meters long, spanning the Toyohira River along the walking path near the Jozankei hot spring village. Nearby stands a pair of rocks called "Futami-iwa," whose name is said to have been borrowed from the famous Futamigaura coast in Ise, Mie Prefecture. From the bridge, visitors look down on the Futami rocks and the deep pool beyond known as "Kappa Fuchi" (Kappa Pool).

Kappa Fuchi is the setting of one of Jozankei's most enduring legends. Long ago, a young man fishing in the river was pulled beneath the surface and vanished. A year later he appeared in his father's dream, saying he was living happily with a kappa (river sprite) wife and children. This legend is considered the origin of Jozankei's "kappa tradition," and the kappa figures that have become a symbol of the hot spring village trace their roots to this story.

The bridge is beautiful in every season, but it is especially celebrated in autumn when the vermilion bridge blends with the red, orange, and yellow of the surrounding trees in a stunning tapestry of color. Easily reachable on foot from the Jozankei hot spring village, it is a favorite stop for those enjoying the natural scenery of this popular resort area.
